Proposed Liquor Law Reforms

On 6 November 2007 the NSW Premier, Morris Iemma, announced that the long awaited changes to the states liquor laws are in the process of being drafted.  The reforms are said to be the biggest shake-up of liquor laws in NSW in 25 years and intended to provide fairness and balance across the board.

The Licensing Court of NSW will cease to exist and the new sytem will become administrative-based in a bid to reduce complexity and costs for the industry, the community and goverments.
