The commencement of the National IR Reforms

The Overhaul of the Australian Industrial Relations System has begun.The Workplace Relations Amendment (Transition to Forward with Fairmess) Act 2008 commenced at midnight 28 march 2008.

The transitional arrangements and substantive changes will impact on your workplace.  Employers need to consider their industrial instruments and contractual arrangements in light of these proposed reforms.
