The Transition Commences: IR Reforms

The Overhaul of the Australian Industrial Relations System has begun.

The Workplace Relations Amendment (Transition to Forward with Fairmess) Bill 2008 was released on 13 February 2008 and the exposure draft of the National Employment Standards (NES) was released on 14 February 2008.  The transitional arrangements and substantive changes will impact on your workplace.  Employers need to consider their industrial instruments and contractual arrangements in light of these proposed reforms.
